Statewide Children and Youth Services Manager
SAAVI Services for the Blind is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven leader to serve as our Statewide Children and Youth Services Manager. This role provides statewide leadership for children and youth programming while also coordinating national programs that serve blind students from across the country.
Based in Phoenix, the Children and Youth Services Manager oversees after-school, weekend, summer, and transition programming; supervises staff including the Tucson Children and Youth Coordinator; and coordinates Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS). The role also supports seasonal and grant-funded programs such as Extended School Year Program (ESY), GENIUS Camp, Ready Set Go (RSG) Transition Summer Camp and serves as a primary point of contact for families, VR counselors, and partners across states.
AT Instructor – Phoenix Campus
SAAVI Services for the Blind is seeking a knowledgeable and mission-driven Nonvisual Skills Instructor – Access Technology to teach blind adults and youth how to use industry-standard access technology with confidence and independence. This role is ideal for someone who believes in a strong philosophy of blindness, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to support students in transforming their skills and expectations.
This instructor provides one-on-one and small-group access technology instruction, including screen reading, magnification, braille displays, OCR, note-taking devices, and mobile technology. Instruction happens both in the training center and in the community.
In addition to access technology, the instructor may provide support in daily living skills, braille, cane travel, job readiness, and other curriculum areas as assigned.
Career Opportunities Instructor/Developer : Phoenix Campus
Saavi Services for the Blind is seeking a dynamic Career Opportunities Instructor/Developer to expand employment pathways for blind adults through strategic employer partnerships, individualized career development, and real-world job exploration. This position is ideal for someone who believes in high expectations, enjoys building community relationships, and is passionate about helping students achieve meaningful employment.
Based in Phoenix, the Career Opportunities Instructor/Developer supports students in exploring career interests, gaining real-world experience, and securing paid employment. This position maintains strong partnerships with businesses and community organizations while reinforcing confidence, nonvisual problem-solving, and professional readiness.
The role includes individualized student coaching, coordinating career exploration activities, and placing jobseekers in internships, volunteer roles, and competitive employment.
Assistant Director – Phoenix Campus
Saavi Services for the Blind is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Phoenix Assistant Director to provide leadership, organization, and oversight of services and logistical processes for rehabilitation students at the Phoenix campus. This position is responsible for overseeing student training plans, supervising assigned staff, and providing philosophical and operational guidance to support program success.
Based in Phoenix, the Assistant Director provides leadership, operational oversight, and administrative support to ensure high-quality services and successful program outcomes. The position assists with staff supervision, program implementation, student support, community engagement, and strategic initiatives while helping maintain a positive and productive organizational culture.
Nonvisual Skills Instructor – Home Management – Phoenix Campus
Saavi Services for the Blind is seeking a dedicated and mission‑driven Nonvisual Skills Instructor – Home Management to support blind students in developing independence, confidence, and strong nonvisual skills for daily living. This role is ideal for an instructor who values high expectations, practical problem‑solving, strong organizational skills and empowering students to manage their homes and routines independently.
Based in Phoenix, the Nonvisual Skills Instructor – Home Management provides instruction in independent living skills using Structured Discovery principles. Instruction occurs in individual and group settings and may take place in the training center, student apartments, and throughout the community.
Student Services Manager – Phoenix Campus
Saavi Services for the Blind is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Student Services Manager to support student success through service coordination, program oversight, and direct instruction. This role ensures that each student’s experience reflects SAAVI’s Structured Discovery philosophy and commitment to high expectations.
Based in Phoenix, the Student Services Manager provides individualized program advising, coordinates student services, and supports instructional staff. This position also includes direct teaching responsibilities as assigned.
Career Pathways & Employment Coordinator – Phoenix Campus
Saavi Services for the Blind is seeking a driven and mission-focused Career Pathways & Employment Coordinator to support blind adults and students in achieving meaningful employment and post-secondary success. This role is ideal for someone who believes in a strong philosophy of blindness, enjoys relationship-building, and is passionate about guiding individuals through career exploration, training, and placement.
This position coordinates employment, education, and job training services for blind Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) consumers and students completing Saavi’s Elevate Transform Succeed comprehensive training program.
The coordinator supports students through career exploration, job readiness, employment placement, and post-secondary planning. Responsibilities also include fostering employer relationships, working with VR counselors, and supporting students enrolled in certification and college programs.
